Biology Guided Inquiry Learning Environments The BGuILE environments consist of computer-based scenarios and classroom activities through which students conduct authentic scientific investigations. BGuILE is designed to help students learn about scientific investigation and argumentation by doing science. Students working with BGuILE learn to plan and perform an investigation; construct, evaluate, and improve on their own explanations; critique other explanations; and understand science as a process of building and refining explanations.
