Welcome to the Clemente-Fenger-Northwestern MSTA Web site. The Math, Science, Techonology Academy (MSTA) program is a special CPS initiative in several CPS high schools (in partnership with local universities), designed to help students develop mathematical, scientific, technological, and language skills to succeed in college and in the workplace.

This site provides information for parents, students, teachers, administrators, researchers, and other visitors. Click on the various categories on the left and on the links below to guide your browsing to topics of interest to you. Information about all aspects of the MSTA's at Clemente and Fenger can be found here.

This site is a work in progress and will grow as the MSTA's grow. We are currently in year 2 of development.

As part of the MSTA program partnership with Northwestern, both Fenger and Clemente High School have some common features.

TECHNOLOGY: Northwestern University helps both schools integrate technology into the everyday school experience of students and teachers.

CURRICULUM: Project-based curricular units are being co-designed by university and high school partners. These projects attempt to take advantage of technological tools, interdisciplinary opportunities, and real-world problem contexts to engage student learners. Click on the curriculum atom view developments from the first year.

RESEARCH: To help keep track of the progress of the program and its students, Northwestern measures and monitors various factors in addition to regular indicators like grades, attendance, and test scores.
